Orange County League Votes to Support Ethics Commission Measure on June Ballot

The Orange County League of Women Voters board (ILO) voted to support Measure A, which would create an Orange County Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission. Measure A is on the June 7 Primary Election ballot for Orange County. The Ethics Commission would be an independent body that would provide regular and predictable enforcement of campaign finance rules, auditing of campaign financial reports, and training for for staff and candidates on the county's campaign finance rule.

The ILO took the position following a year-long study of money in Orange County politics; the membership issued an approval concurrence statement in November, 2015.
